「自衛官自殺、過去最多の９４人」に思う


自衛官に捧ぐ

自衛官の自殺が０４年度に計９４人で、
これまで過去最高だった０２年度の
７８人を大きく上回りました。


自殺率（十万人当たりの自殺者数）は約三九・四人で、国民の自殺率（約二七・〇人、〇三年警察庁調べ）を大きく上回っている。
年齢別では、２５〜２９歳が最も多く１８人にのぼる。３５〜３９歳と４５〜４９歳が各１５人、３０〜３４歳が１１人だった。

〇三年度までの過去三年間の総計では「その他・不明」が過半数を占め、「借財」「職務」「家庭」が続いている。
防衛庁側は「自殺原因は家庭の問題や病気などさまざまと推定され、増加の理由はよく分からない」と話す。

職住が同じ若い自衛官にとって、
規律と階級制度の環境は傷つけられやすい環境なのでしょう。

自殺するまで、追い込まれるというのは本当に、相当なことです。

自殺しようされた方はご存知かもしれませんが、自殺は、相当勇気のいる事です。
もしくは、それ程の状況だったか。
それ程、人間は生への執着が強いのです。

残されたご家族の方はさぞ、ご無念のことでしょう…。

後手後手に回らないよう、周囲が神経症やうつに理解を示して、
人間としての対応をしてくれることを祈るばかりです。

自衛官の自殺問題は深刻ですね。僕の友人が最近、この問題を
分析した本を出しました。一言で言うと自衛隊の大再編が自衛隊内に極度のストレスをつくりだし、これが「いじめ」「退職制限」などを生じさせているというものです。これは自衛隊の最大の危機になっていますね。
ご参考にその本は、
『自衛隊そのトランスフォーメーション』（小西誠著・社会批評社刊）です。
